Each plug consists of a rockwool core and a separate Ellepot FP 12+ sleeve.
Ellepot lists a decomposition time of 12+ months for this paper. This is not a guaranteed lifespan for the complete plug.
Roots can grow through the paper sleeve. Leave it in place when transplanting and handle the roots gently.
Adjust water and nutrients to your crop, root development and greenhouse conditions.
Trays come in complete boxes, making it easy to calculate the quantity needed for propagation.
Choose 84 cells for a larger plug or 104 cells for a higher plant density.
Rockwool forms the core in which the young plant roots. The paper sleeve surrounds that core. Ellepot’s decomposition information concerns the paper and does not mean the complete rockwool plug is biodegradable.
Ellepot FP 12+Ellepot specifies wood fibres with polyester reinforcement for FP 12+. Read the Ellepot FP 12+ specifications for details of the sleeve material.
